La air pump 1 outlet Water Master It is used in simple hydroponic systems in which the roots of the plants are practically submerged and air is pumped to the roots so that they receive air and do not suffocate.
It is the system used by General Hydroponics Aquafarms.
With a flow rate of 1,5 L/min (90 L/h) it allows to oxygenate deposits by putting a diffuser stone that distributes the air inside the water.
This allows to have a correct amount of dissolved oxygen, especially when the temperature of the solution is above 22ºC.
Another use is to remove nutrients in irrigation deposits in order to prevent them from settling to the bottom and becoming available to plants when they are irrigated.
Its small size allows it to be placed almost anywhere near the tank. Of course, it is important that the pump is located above the water level to prevent water from reaching the pump and damaging it.
A non-toxic silicone tube must be connected to the air pump to transport the air and a diffuser stone to distribute the air at the bottom of the tank.
