The Blumat house digital soil moisture sensor or moisture meter has a ceramic tip that, when inserted into the potting soil, measures the absorbent force of the roots and digitally displays the values ​​on the screen.

The higher the number displayed the drier the soil is in the root zone.

Plants planted in pots feel better with values ​​between 80 and 120 mBar, while the optimum value for plants planted outdoors is between 150 and 250 mBar.

It is only necessary to place the humidity sensor or digital soil humidity meter from the Blumat house in the desired place, inserting it up to the depth mark. Very easy to use.

The digital soil moisture meter from the Blumat house allows you to know the amount of water in the soil to know if your plants need to be watered or not.

 

How is the Blumat soil moisture meter used?

  1. Unscrew the reader from the plastic body.
  2. Submerge the plastic body with the ceramic cone in water for 1 hour.
  3. Fill the plastic body with water to the brim.
  4. Screw the reader back onto the plastic body filled with water.
  5. Insert the meter to the mark and turn it on while waiting for the measurement result.

 

How are meter results interpreted?

  • 10-40 mbar – Your plants need water. to water
  • 50-120 mbar – Your plants have the perfect humidity in the soil.
  • 120-190 mbar – Your plants have a lot of water in the soil. Let the soil dry out.
  • 200-300 mbar – There is an excess of water in the earth. You must drain the water from the earth as it is.
