The Secret Icer tights from Secret Smoke are the ideal complement to use with our washing machines and facilitate extraction using ice.
Most growers use the meshes directly, dispensing with the washing machine for their extractions, but it all depends on the time we want to invest in the process.
How do I use Secret Icer Ice Resin Extraction Meshes?
1 – Put the meshes in a bucket making sure that the finest mesh (the one with the fewest microns) is always underneath but that it does not touch the bottom of the bucket.
2 – Fill another bucket halfway with cold water. Add the ice. If the ice is in large blocks, be sure to break it into small pieces.
Measure the temperature of the water to make sure it is approximately 4ºC and then put the herb in.
If you freeze the buds or the remains of the manicure a few hours beforehand, the results are better.
3 – With the help of a paint mixer or another type of large mixer, beat the ice water and the herb for 3 min. 8 minutes for the trichomes to detach and remain in the water.
4- Pour the ice water into the mesh bucket to strain the result.
5 – Remove the first mesh from the bucket and squeeze it to let the excess water fall.
In this bag there will be no trichomes, only plant residues. Remove the second mesh, move it a couple of times (up and down) in and out of the water so that the trichomes are concentrated in the middle. Squeeze it to remove as much moisture as possible.
If you have more bags repeat this process.
6 – Put the trichomes that have remained on the mesh in a metal strainer and put the strainer on a piece of paper.
Push the trichomes with a spoon through the strainer, then spread them out on the paper for efficient drying. It should be left to dry for 48 hours at room temperature or in the refrigerator (in the dark).
Drying is very important. If it is not done properly it can ferment and take on a bad smell.
Once dry they can be pressed.
Repeat the shake and strain process 2 or 3 more times.
Remember to clean the tights with water after use to keep them clean.
If you need it, you can clean them with 96º pharmacy alcohol that will remove the stuck resin.
